"Our love can hold our differences."
For many years I have been interested in what helps people feel more connected—to themselves, to those they love, and to the world around them. Doorways to Connection grew out of those interests and the countless conversations I have had as a therapist, student, teacher, and fellow traveler through life.
This is not a book of techniques or quick fixes. Rather, it is an invitation to slow down, become more present, and explore the ways we relate to ourselves and others. Through reflections, stories, and practical insights, the book explores themes such as empathy, compassion, communication, self-awareness, and connection.
Whether you are seeking deeper relationships, greater understanding, or simply a reminder of what matters most, I hope these pages offer encouragement and inspiration.
What Readers Are Saying
"After finishing Irini's book, I noticed myself feeling more open—with family, friends, and clients. Her reflections on empathy and compassion provided both practical tools and a deeper appreciation for what people are really seeking: to feel safe, seen, understood, and connected."
— DZ, Connecticut
“Doorways to Connection offers a pause, a space, an opening to allow us to better see, understand and be present with others. Irini Georgas provides opportunities for the reader to soften the heart, let go of judgements , bias and narratives which prevent us from being able to fully engage and respond wisely and wholeheartedly with others. If you desire clear, meaningful connections, deeper knowing of oneself and another and the ability to truly listen, read this book!
